Sharing summer events collection

In the summer months, we like to spend more time with family and friends. Various cultural events belong to this period, and therefore we would like to bring to you some of the summer events that are part of various projects supported by the Visegrad Fund.

 

CZECHIA: Would you like to travel from Prague to Krakow by ´poetry train´? You can find out what happens when a group of writers sit on a train on August 25th and give readings of their works and hold discussions on their literary practices and approaches to poetics throughout separate cabins in the train.

If you are looking for more excitement, check August program of Roztocfest in Bratronice – freak fusion cabaret brings to you the mystical world of last century travelling circuses, flavored with some wonderfully dark humor. The spectacular juggling, acrobatics, aerial and burlesque acts are performed by Hungarian underground circus scene.

 

POLAND: A master concert of Khmelnytskyi Philharmonic Quartet within Silesia Sonans Festival is going to be performed from 24th, August till 3rd, September in Jelenia Gora. Youth from Visegrad Countries and Ukraine will form a community to work and perform as an ensemble together.

 

UKRAINE: Kino Susidiv festival in Uzhgorod offers from 17th till 20th August a cultural experience through cinema, connecting people from different countries. The festival showcases films from Visegrad countries which share a historical past and a common experience with Zakarpattia.

 

NORTH MACEDONIA: Young filmmakers from Western Balkan are going to present their works at Drim Short Film Festival in Struga between August 14th and 17th. Bringing together the best short films from North Macedonia and Europe in one place.
