The Visegrad Fund participated in the meeting of V4 Presidents

Presidents of V4 countries (Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia) met at the Prague Castle on November 22 on the invitation of the President of the Czech Republic (as the presidency of the Visegrad Group is currently held by Czechia).

The V4 presidents discussed, among other things, the activities of the International Visegrad Fund which were presented by the fund’s Executive Director, Ambassador Petr Mareš.

During a joint press conference, Petr Pavel, the Czech President, underlined that Visegrad Group reflects our perception as a platform that should work primarily for the benefit of citizens.
The Polish President Andrzej Duda put up about functioning of the Visegrad Fund and its impact on the development of our region that carries out very important tasks, including supporting refugees from Ukraine and helping young people as part of the offered programs.
The President of Slovakia Zuzana Čaputová emphasized that the International Visegrad Fund is one of the most visible instruments of cooperation that strengthens the connection between people and civil society.
Katalin Novák, the President of Hungary, supplemented the topic with the belief we are united by a range of cultural values ​​and the V4 cooperation is alive, exists and has a future ahead of it.

Based on the initiative of the Visegrad Fund, a concert was organized by the Visegrad Cello Quartet consisting of Jiří Bárta, Ditta Rohman, Maciej Młodawski and Jozef Lupták, which performed pieces by Marián Varga, Ľubica Čekovská and J. S. Bach.
