Choosing The Project of the year 2022

The International Visegrad Fund has been announcing The Project of The Year since 2016. Its aim is to recognize outstanding efforts of its grantees contributing to Visegrad cooperation. The award is intended for organizations and institutions. They are implementing their projects in the areas which advancement of the International Visegrad Fund is focused on such as culture, education, innovation, democratic values, environment, and others.

THE NOMINEES ARE:

ANIMARKT Stop Motion Forum focuses on the most important problems and challenges associated with the production of stop motion animation. Its main goal is to create a platform to share experiences and practices between filmmakers, distributors, broadcasters, producers, service providers, and industry representatives from all around the world, with an emphasis on the region – V4 and CEE. The International Visegrad Fund has financially supported ANIMARKT six times since 2017.

The Eastern Bloc catwalk concert explores the socialist-communist past of Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Poland in an international co-production. Featuring extravagant costumes and vocal music accompanied by electronics, the performance gives a glimpse into a full day of a fictional country’s only national TV channel on a special national holiday, Unification Day.

Visegrad Accelerator is a platform for film professionals from Visegrad countries within the Ji.hlava Industry Programme and aims to discover and support new talents from Central Europe, introduce them to the international industry community and thus accelerate their creative growth. All in a relaxed, creative and non-competitive Ji.hlava environment. The International Visegrad Fund has financially supported this project six times since 2018.
