What a day!

Martin and Lucia traveled to Budapest today to meet with Art quarter Budapest, our partners for Artists Residencies. Krisztian Kukla, its Art Director and Dorottya Magyar, the manager of it all gave them detailed tour of this former brewery, which has been in continuous renovation for more than 18 years. And what amazing place it is now! Close to the Danube river, you find yourself in a gallery next to a chocolate factory, fresh new bakery, exhibition place, community garden, tens of artists’ studios from all over the Europe and so much more!
And you can also be a part of this all! Apply for one of the Visegrad Residencies if you are an artist, and find new inspiration for your work. Application system is open from September 15 until October 15, 2022!

After holding a public Info Session in Pécs, Daniel arrived in Budapest today where he welcomed representatives from different organizations to discuss our funding opportunities. We would like to invite you to our next such meetings in České Budejovice, Plzeň, Nyiregyháza and Miskolc, taking place next week.

What is more, we are going to attend a premiere of performance Eastern bloc by the Soharoza in @trafohouse. It explores the socialist-communist past of Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Poland featuring extravagant costumes and vocal music accompanied by electronics. The performance gives a glimpse into a full day of a fictional country’s only national TV channel on a special national holiday, Unification Day.
