Visegrad scholarship for Master's and post-Master's students from Visegrad countries (citizens of Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia) to study abroad at any accredited university/institute in other Visegrad country and in Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo*, Moldova, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia, Serbia and Ukraine.

Visegrad scholarship for Master's and post-Master's students who are citizens of Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo*, Moldova, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia, Serbia and Ukraine to study in Visegrad countries.
*This designation is without prejudice to positions on status, and is in line with UNSCR 1244/1999 and the ICJ Opinion on the Kosovo declaration of independence.


  • The country of the applicant's citizenship must be different from the country of the host institution. Applicants can already be enrolled at the university for which they seek support; their previous levels of university studies, however, must be completed in a country other than where he/she applies for the scholarship.

  • The distance between the applicant’s current employer/university or the permanent residence and the host university/institute should exceed 150 km.

  • Study/research period of support is 1–2 semesters for full-time Master’s level studies or full-time post-Master’s studies/research.

  • Preference is given to applicants not supported previously and to applicants with study/research topics relevant to the V4 region

  • The amount of the support is €3,000/semester for scholar + €1,500/semester for the host institution.

Your application must be submitted online via My Visegrad by April 15, 12 PM (noon) and must include the following uploaded documents written in English or accompanied by a translation (either certified by a sworn translator or by the university official):

Master's level scholarship:

  • Scanned valid ID document

  • Scanned transcript of records covering at least the last two completed semesters or a diploma supplement

  • Scanned letter of acceptance from the host university (or a proof of applying if the student isn't accepted yet when applying for the scholarship)


Post-Master’s level scholarship:

  • Scanned valid ID document

  • Scanned letter of acceptance with a detailed working plan
